Acceptance

By using this site you accept these Terms of Use and the Disclaimer. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. There is no account to close, because there are no accounts.

Permitted use

You may use the calculator for personal, non-commercial planning.

  • You may link to any page freely.
  • You may not scrape the state tables in bulk, run automated extraction against the site, or republish the dataset as a competing product.
  • You may not use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that interferes with its availability for others.

Anything you type into the calculator stays on your device and remains yours; nothing here takes ownership of it.

Ownership

The site’s design, text and code are owned by the operator of this site. The underlying tax rates, brackets, deductions and contribution bases are public facts published by the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the states and Tax Foundation — those facts are free to use, and the Method section links you to all three.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, ads are served by a third party (Google AdSense) using its own technology and its own cookies. We do not control which advertisement appears or what it claims, and an ad on this site is not an endorsement by us. Advertising is also governed by the provider’s terms, which apply in addition to ours.

Links to irs.gov, ssa.gov, taxfoundation.org and other sites are provided for verification. We do not control their content or availability, and a link is not an endorsement of the destination.

Changes

The site and these terms may be revised at any time. The date at the top of the page shows when these terms last changed; continued use after a revision means you accept it. If a change matters to you, check the date before relying on the site again.
